Unit 1 Key Assignment Day was a great success here at QISS! The Grade 2 students did an incredible job with their Cultural Expo. QISS students and parents learned about the cultures from Italy, China, and South Korea. The class used language, music, food, clothing, games, and landmarks to teach everyone about these amazing countries. You can see some pictures of the Cultural Expo below, as well as some pictures of other awesome Key Assignments! There are also two video clips of the Cultural Expo that you can watch here: Great work everyone! I am excited to see what else the Grade 2 class will do this year!

Now that Unit 1 has come to a close, the students have finished updating the classroom Word Wall. There are over 70 words on our Word Wall! You can find key vocabulary words from Literacy, Math, Science, and Social Studies! The students write the words nicely, and then draw a picture to help show what each word means. They did an amazing job! Click on the pictures below to make them bigger so you can see their outstanding work!
Grade 4 is on a mission to fold 1,000 paper cranes! They invited Grade 2 to come learn how to fold these origami birds, and help them reach their goal. Both classes had a lot of fun together. Thank you Grade 4 for teaching us this cool skill!
